Best again...and again...and again...and again Harbinger Launch Date: April 30, 4:30 p.m.

The 2020 issue of Harbinger will launch April 30 in a virtual celebration of the Stephens College award-winning literary journal.

And if tradition holds, it's going to be a winner!

Stephens College is one of 900 colleges and universities around the world that belongs to Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honor society. The society sponsors an annual competition for its member schools to identify the best student-run literary journal in the world.

And Harbinger wins.... a LOT.

In fact, Harbinger wins so often that Sigma Tau Delta (no doubt responding to feedback from the other 899 member schools) established what we fondly refer to as "The Stephens Rule."

That rule says that no literary journal can win two years in a row. And since we won in 2018 (not to mention in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, and 2016) and we weren't eligible to win last year....Well, it just might be our turn again.

Just sayin'.

That decision won't be made until next spring. In the meantime, this is your chance to celebrate, congratulate and honor our amazing team of student writers and editors, and to thank their dedicated and inspiring faculty member, Professor Kris Somerville.

Watch for the Zoom link in your email inboxes the afternoon of the event and don't miss it! See you there!
